Bio

Emma Steele has been studying dance in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio since she was nine years old. She attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts from fifth grade to twelfth grade as a dance major. The program at S.C.P.A is classical ballet with two days of modern technique, primarily in the Graham style. One of the teachers that impacted her the most was her modern teacher Ka-Ron B. Lehman. As part of their training, every year the dance department put on The Nutcracker as well as a spring ballet ranging from classics like Swan Lake to modern adaptions of Dracula. Emma started dancing at the age of nine as an Irish dancer, then transitioned into classical ballet. She doesn’t ever want to stop dancing. However, how dance will show up in her future is still undecided.
